MSU-Bottineau is an accredited school. They offer many online 2-year programs in the areas of:
Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Advertising and Marketing, Medical Assistant, Medical Secretary, Medical Transcription, Medical Coding, Paraeducation, Recreation Management and so on. Financial aid is available for these programs. Being located in North Dakota, they are a smaller campus and their tuition is lower. Hope this helps, thanks!

1. Wait until you get a job. Most school districts have their own policies, many are switching to electronic gradebooks & lesson plans. Either way they provide the software or the book.
2. You should have a rough plan laid out. Like what material you plan to cover each week or for the year. You'll need lesson plans in detail to satisfy the bureaucracy but most of the time you'll be changing them on a daily basis (fire drill, assembly etc.) Have a set for any sub to use that are easy to understand and follow. Have seating charts and lists of honest students who will help.
3. Yes.
4. When you feel the need, they aren't always needed.
5. Not really. Different schools use different technology. About 50% use Macs, another 50% use Windows. Some use white boards, overheads, video projectors etc. The school secretary will show you how to use the copier etc. Make friends with her the first day & the janitor the 2nd. Doughnuts help.
6. Each school has their own policy. If you send a kid into the hallway, he/she may not come back. And you are responsible for the behavior out there, it can be a dangerous situation. Go with detentions and start out tough and ease up as the months go by. Only send someone to the office if it is a dangerous situation (drunk, on drugs etc.)
7. It will help you. Introduce yourself to the kids the first day, make sure they realize your expectations.

1)Shurite Karate Jitsu (I also like Chen Taiji)
2)Shurite Karate Jitsu
3)I live it every day
4)It is a mixture of hard and soft, has striking, grappling, light ground work, meditation, and kyusho, but above all it would have to be Shihan that gives it that extra edge
5)tradition
6)because tradition as is was designed is for the street/battlefield and there's no need for me to change it, I don't fight for sport, I live the lifestyle of a martial artist
7)in many occasions
8)I used the style I trained in, it worked and I have no need to change it
9)There's not a style that I don't like, only schools that I feel are below the standards they should be at, and the students and or instructors are of the wrong mindset to perpetuate this lifestyle
10)I believe that history of the style accompanied by the history of other styles, their respective nations, and eventually the world. Not for better karate, but for a better mentality. History can tell us a lot, if we only pull our heads out of our butts and listen.

I would remove the first three words "It may seem" as they're used later in the same sentence and substitute "while": "While using only three categories to classify the variance in learning styles may seem to be over-simplifying the broad scope, these three styles do offer a general sense of clarity."
Also, in the second sentence of the first paragraph, please use "then", not "than".

Lets look at the three core teachings of Buddhism;
1) Precepts: abstain from killing, stealing, lying, sexual misconduct and intoxicants intake are all about fairness and peace. It promotes harmony among sentient beings.

2) Concentration: a mindful person is a person of fairness and peacefulness.

3) Wisdom: the core teaching of impermanence, emptiness and non-self enable a person to detach from greed, anger and ignorance/delusion which are the root cause of bias and violence.

And indeed, Buddha opposed caste system. He accepted disciples from all levels, including slaves. He also opposed animals slaughtering for offering to gods & deities. Buddhism concept and coverage of fair and peaceful extends to all sentient beings, not just human.

To mae: "But to some Buddhists, people are reincarnated based on the way they lived in previous lives, so if they lived badly, they are reincarnated into a lower caste. To people who believe in that, they think it's fair because people "earned" that fate with their behavior." -- this is not correct interpretation of Buddhism. Why did Buddha opposed caste and accepted disciples from all caste levels?

To mae: "To Christians and many other religions / cultures, everyone deserves the same respect, and to treat people "fairly" is to give everyone equal opportunity and equal respect. " --- Buddhism extend the same respect not just to humans, but even to all sentient beings (including animals). Most religions take it for granted that animals are meant for consumption, and do not deserve the same respect.

Where are you?

Ok, some of these are books, some are short courses that you may have to travel to or that may end up coming nearer to you.

http://www.thoughtfulclassroom.com/index.php?act=viewCat&searchStr=learning+styles (these guys are selling books)

http://www.learnerslink.com/curriculum.htm (seems very comprehensive, seems to be a collection of links, worth a look, does not appear to be asking for c/cs asap, some broken links though)

Everyone learns in a different way. Some can read and learn, while some must learn hands-on, or with visual aids, or must have the lesson explained orally. Some even need a combination of all.

Simply, if you only know one style of teaching (ie: reading aloud, from the text) then you only reach the students, who learn in that manner. If you utilize different methods of teaching the same lesson, you will reach more of your students. You of course have to understand the methods in order to use them.
